Cookies and technical storage

Information about cookies and technical storage on the Lavmax.com corporate website.

Current setup: lavmax.com does not use advertising or analytics cookies. When the home page is opened, a technically necessary server-side PHP session is created for CSRF protection and the security of the contact form placed on that page. In addition, sessionStorage is used only to remember dismissal of the informational cookie notice within the current browser tab/session.

1. What is used

PHP session: usually a cookie named PHPSESSID or an equivalent name configured by the server. The session is created when the home page is opened because the server generates a CSRF token in advance for the contact form on the page and uses the session to limit frequent repeated submissions. It is not intended for advertising profiling.

sessionStorage: the key lavmax_cookie_notice_dismissed is used locally in the browser so that, after clicking “Understood”, this informational notice is not shown again in the same tab. The value is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking and is not itself sent to Lavmax Inc.

Language preference cookie: lavmax_lang stores the interface language you explicitly select for 12 months. It is used only to remember that preference and is not used for advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.

2. Why separate consent is not currently requested

Technical storage that is strictly necessary to provide a function explicitly requested by the user may fall within an exemption from the prior-consent requirement under applicable ePrivacy rules. Therefore, the current banner is informational and does not activate marketing or analytics technologies.

3. External resources

Fonts are loaded from the user device’s system font set; no connection to Google Fonts is made when the page is opened. If analytics, advertising, A/B testing or other non-essential storage/access technologies are added in the future, they must be blocked until any required consent has been obtained in the relevant jurisdictions.

4. Management

Session cookies and sessionStorage data can be deleted through browser settings; sessionStorage is also normally cleared when the corresponding browser tab/session is closed. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause the contact form or its protective mechanisms to stop functioning correctly.
